Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 August 2026. Rialto Consulting, ABN 55 608 044 969, New South Wales, Australia.

This policy explains what personal information Rialto Consulting collects, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Who we are

Rialto Consulting provides strategy and research services to small and medium businesses and to enterprise clients. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Rialto Consulting (ABN 55 608 044 969), based in New South Wales, Australia. “You” means a visitor to this website, a member of Rialto Bridge, or a client.

What we collect

Information you give us

  • Account details — your name, email address and password when you create an account.
  • Purchase details — what you bought, when, and the billing information needed to process it. Card numbers are handled by our payment provider and are never stored on our servers.
  • Brief and engagement content — the information you provide when you complete a strategy brief, message us through your client workspace, or share documents with us.

Information we record automatically

Rialto Bridge reading activity. When you are signed in and read an article in our Rialto Bridge library, we record which article you opened, the topic it is filed under, approximately how long you spent actively reading it, and the date and time. We do not record your IP address for this purpose.

We use this to understand what our clients are working on, so that the material we publish, the services we suggest, and the conversations we have with you are relevant rather than generic. It may inform which services we tell you about.

You can see this record yourself at any time. Sign in and open your dashboard: the “What you’ve been reading” panel shows the topics you return to and the articles you have opened. If you would prefer we did not keep it, contact us and we will delete it and stop recording.

Standard technical information. Like most websites, our hosting and security systems log ordinary technical data such as browser type and pages requested. This is used to keep the site running and secure.

How we use your information

  • To provide the services and deliverables you have engaged us for.
  • To give you access to what you have purchased, including Rialto Bridge and narrated presentations.
  • To process payments and meet our tax and record-keeping obligations.
  • To communicate with you about your account, your engagement, and material we think is relevant to you.
  • To improve what we publish and how we deliver it.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not trade it, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Artificial intelligence and your data

Some Rialto Bridge articles are drafted with the assistance of AI tools and reviewed before publication. Your personal information, your business information, and your reading history are not sent to those tools. Article generation draws only on general subject themes and the titles of articles we have already published.

Where AI tools are used in delivering a client engagement, we will tell you.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers who help us operate, and only to the extent they need it:

  • Payment processing — card payments are processed by Stripe via WooCommerce. Stripe handles card details directly; we never see or store your full card number.
  • Hosting — this website runs on Amazon Web Services infrastructure in the Sydney (ap-southeast-2) region.
  • Email delivery — transactional email is sent through a third-party provider. We will name that provider here once it is finalised.

Some of these providers may store or process data outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure any overseas recipient handles your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles. We may also disclose information where required by law.

How long we keep it

  • Account and engagement records — for as long as you hold an account, and afterwards for as long as we are required to keep them for tax, legal or professional obligations.
  • Reading activity — kept while it remains useful for account planning, and deleted on request at any time.
  • Payment records — retained for the period required by Australian tax law.

Keeping it secure

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access or disclosure, including access controls on client material and encrypted connections to this website. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

You may ask us to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct anything that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
  • Delete your reading activity, or your account and its associated data, subject to records we are legally required to keep.
  • Opt out of marketing communications at any time, using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us. You will still receive messages necessary to service an active engagement.

We will respond to a request within a reasonable period. There is no charge for making a request.

Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary for the site to work — keeping you signed in and remembering the contents of your cart. You can block cookies in your browser, but parts of the site, including sign-in and checkout, will not function.

Contacting us, and complaints

To make a privacy request, ask a question, or raise a complaint about how we have handled your personal information, email us at hello@rialto.consulting, or use our contact page. We will acknowledge a complaint promptly and aim to resolve it within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
